Activities and Clubs

Association of Student Body (ASB)

Mission Statement: To represent the students, act as a bridge for teachers and students, and understand the needs of the students, and act upon them.

Basketball Team

Mission Statement: Have fun, play hard!

Chess Club

Mission Statement: Chess Club offers students the opportunity to receive chess instruction and to compete with their peers twice a week. In addition, students are given the opportunity to attend a few tournaments each year, where they will compete with children from other areas.

The goal of this club is to foster the development of traits that studies have shown chess helps promote. Chess helps to increase critical and logical thinking skills and improves concentration. The game also increases self-confidence, patience, and sportsmanship.

Chinese Dance

Mission Statement: Chinese dance is a traditional dance in which students could learn to listen to the Chinese music and choreograph the dance. We also perform at events such as the annual Honoring Elders' Day and Cherishing Youth Day. We also receive invitations to perform at the Mendocino College, Gold Mountain, Monastery, etc. During the process, we aim to become more graceful and elegant, and at the same time, gain confidence through the performances

College Resource Center (CRC)

Mission Statement: We help students to understand more about colleges and prepare them for the outside world. Prepare them for the best.

Community Service Club (CSC)

Mission Statement: We volunteer with our hearts and serve with our love.

Dance Club

Mission Statement: To learn different cultural dances, and exercise at the same time. This is a stress-free club!

Mission Statement: Learn to appreciate and become aware of nature, the community, the world around us, and life through the presentation of photographs and videos. Also seeks to capture events words may not be able to express.

Sitra - Student Newspaper

Mission Statement: We inform students and teachers of all school events, as well as worldwide events.

Yearbook

Mission Statement: To fuse creativity into the pages we create. To master the art of digital art, formatting and photography. To meet our deadlines. To make a yearbook that all can enjoy and treasure. Exclusive satisfaction.

Field trips

Most students participate in several extracurricular activities. All students serve, perform and help to organize the annual celebrations of Honoring Elders Day (autumn) and Cherishing Youth Day (spring) for the larger Mendocino County community.
